Pilates Instruction
Dr. Wiese recognizes the importance of movement and exercise in the healing process; therefore, she offers Pilates classes and private sessions.
Pilates is a transformative method of exercise, incorporating both the body and mind. It is designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the muscles in your body. Specific Pilates exercise combined with focused breathing has proven its value, not only as a safe and effective fitness system, but also as an important addition to sports training and physical rehabilitation. No matter what your age or condition, Pilates moves you towards a healthier mind and body.
Pilates was developed in the early 1900s by Joseph Pilates in New York City. He devised the exercises, training techniques and equipment
that became known as the Pilates Method. It's been practiced for over 80 years by a wide variety of people, ranging from the stars to your neighbor next door.
